Mentorship
Are you ready to step out on your own and start a private practice? Looking to take your private practice to the next level? Just not sure where you want to go from here and need some guidance?

Whatever you're still a student, working in private practice, community mental health, another setting, or currently unemployed or in transition, I'm here to help.

I spent more than two decades working full-time in media arts before going back to school to be a mental health counselor. Now I manage a dual career in both. I hold an MBA, concentrating in marketing, and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Next, I'll be back in school for advanced degrees in both Neuroscience and Intellectual Property Law.

Did I mention I'm still a writer, serial entrepreneur, a wife, mom of four, a fur baby mom, and an avid tennis player who loves to binge-watch Netflix or garden whenever possible?

There are no hard and fast rules for what you must do after seeking a counseling degree...or in LIFE, in general. And there's no set plan to success. You are human. You are complex. And you are in the driver's seat. You and only you, can define what success means to you.

If you are thinking of going back to school for counseling, are a counseling student already, an LLC, an LPC, and/or a spouse, a parent, a friend, a lifelong knowledge-seeker, a wanderer...a human...let's work together to ensure you achieve the life of your dreams.

Remember, not all who wander are lost.

Clinical Supervision for Limited Licensed Counselors
Disclaimer: This program is coming in mid-2026. Yet, it is being included here well in advance for planning purposes. If you register with the site, you'll be the first to be notified when the program is live. Group spots can be reserved as early as May 2026. Note: Initial start dates are subject to change.
If you're a Michigan Limited Licensed Counselor looking for clinical supervision, first of all, congratulations on achieving your degree! That's a huge accomplishment! Yet, the journey has just begun. Now it's time to pursue at least 3,000 post-graduation clinical hours in no less than 2 years in order to receive your full license. This may sound a bit daunting, but the time will go by quickly.
When it comes to selecting a supervisor, it's important to find a good fit. You'll want to work with someone who you feel comfortable with and who will challenge you to expand your skillset and grow personally, professionally, and clinically. You'll also want to work with someone who is well-organized who can help to ensure you're tracking the hours you need. All will be equally as important for your work with clients and for advancing your career.
While Sara Schwartz has completed all requirements to become a clinical supervisor, there is a minimum amount of time that needs to pass before taking on supervisees. Thus, for now, click on the tab below to learn more about my background and intended supervision approach. As soon as this program is live, I'd love to work with you! Site members will be booked first. Hope to see you soon!
